FranchiZe Music {{FMG}}

   FMG which stands for FranchiZe Music Geniuses, is just what we needed in the Reggae community because Jah know it's a lot of foolishness going on these days. From the Gaza & Gully Beef  to all the female artist trying to compete against each other bout who nuh suck hood (give head) from who look better. I personally am getting tired of the same ol' shit I dont wanna hear no diss tune all the time. What happened to just making music that people could hold a Meddy to you feel me, music that you can sit back and get a message from. Not just wine pan di buddy and dagga dagga. When it comes to FMG you get Real Conscious tunes, not no flakey flakey 1/2 ass music.
    Imma give ya'll the scoop on the FranchiZe Fellas. When I came in contact with Damian FranchiZe it was through Facebook, which as we all know one of the most popular social networks out their today. Damian and I quickly became friends just off the simple fact that he was a good youth. Not too long after that I started paying attention to the music that was produced by him and his brother, Peaz FranchiZe, who is the other mastermind behind the label (Peaz is also a easy going guy so it wasn't hard getting information about the duo).
     FMG consists of two well endowed individuals Damian & Peaz. In order to bring Culture & Roots back into what is known as the Reggae industry they decided in February 2007 that it was time to commit themselves to what they Love, Music!  FranchiZe music  is geared towards providing Managment, Development, Promotions, Marketing & Artist Development to up and coming artist. Currently based in Florida & Jamaica they have made it their business to market their music worldwide From Atlanta, Japan, Germany, Trinidad, New Zealand and New york ( Just to name a few).
    The FranchiZe made it their duty to not become just another stereotype. Not to be conformed by the lackadaisical attitudes of their peers. It is always said that African American men never amount to nothing and are hopeless But as in the words of our first Black President "Yes We Can," and yes they did (LoL). Nah but on a more serious note I can honestly say that these two are positive role models, just because you live in the "ghetto" does not mean that you cannot amount to anything. If you have a goal set your standards at a certain level. Do not set your goals too high that they are not in your reach but start small and in the end whatever it is that you set out to do will be done, only if you stick to your plan. 
    The FranchiZe Duo is a force to be reckoned with. These two are all about the business and making Great music. For those that know me ya'll know I dont push foolishness, If I says it's hot trust me thats what it is. When I say FMG is friggin S.I.C.K do not take my words lightly. Make sure your apart of the movement from now so that when the shit hits that fan you DON'T get left out in the cold. Stay tuned because trust me this wont be the last you hear about Peaz & Damian.

Sade : Soldier of Love

When I first heard Sade was coming out with another album I was OD excited. I mean who doesn't Love her. Every album that she has released always topped the charts. The songs are easy to listen to and there's just this sensual aura about it. Being that she has not released a record since 2000 "Soldier of Love" was a worldwide anticipated album. When it was released on  Feb 9 2010 I wasn't able to get it, but please believe when I tell you I went on itunes and listened to it and everytime her single came on the radio I stopped whatever I was doing and I was all ears. So yesterday I went to target & bought it ( & the best part it was on sale, lol ). The moment I received it I was in AWWW... I was kinda bummed that there was only 10 tracks on it but at the same time those tracks were all the album needed. Anymore and it would just be totally over crowded. From her debut single "Soldier of Love" that has been rocking on every radio station to "In another time" all the tracks had a certain individuality about them. No song sounds like the other they all made U just wanna have babies( or at least do things that makes babies). Overall the album gets two thumbs up in JayFay's book. I downloaded it to my itouch & ever since then that's all I've been rocking to.

I remember the days when dancehall patrons arrived at the dance at a reasonable time, usually around 12 sometimes even when the selector just ah string up. People come out dressed to impress drink in hand ready to enjoy the night. I find it annoying that promoters spend so much money arranging to make their night successful then you have people who either show up at 3 when the party near fi finish or at 4 when di party soon done. Then you have those people who call and ask how the party is going and who is there. Since when do I have to call somebody weh deh inna di dance and ask them who is there wah kinda foolishness dat. People fi stop guh ah party fi watch di crowd I thought the reason people keep parties was to have fun mek ah likkle money and enjoy themselves. I know for myself I might arrive to the a dance around 230 the latest and at times I don’t even enjoy the dance for the simple fact that it's so late and I don’t really get a vibes. If everybody is suppose to call someone else and ask how the dance is going then nobody would be there cause people feel seh dem fi come inna di dance “fashionably late” so everyone can spot their outfit.
